X5 serial cards

Anyone seen any other serial cards besides Sockets. I was
thinking of using it to go into the serial ports of Cisco routers.
Smaller and easier to boot up then a laptop but can see if
ports are up and that kind of thing!!!!

Why do you not want a Socket serial card? Seems like it'd do what you want, and can be found for fairly cheap now ($30 maybe? I remember seeing a thread on where to get it cheap)

You could also get an ethernet network card and telnet into the router. I think you can do that, it's been too long since I dropped out of my Cisco classes...

The socket one is the only one i know of and i think thats what your looking for since its only around $30

what is the usage for the serial? is it same as the desktop?
