socket CF bluetooth

hey, does anyone know how to configure the socket CF bluetooth for the X5 in pocket PC 2003? all the built in bluetooth features dont seem to work with this card.

or can someone recomend a good bluetooth CF card?

the Socket brand one has really lame drivers, unless i'm just using it wrong. I use it to connect to my GSM phone through DUN. i get that to work ok, but i cant send files, or sync through bluetooth.

even though dell sold it to me, they dont support it. the Socket support has not even returned my emails.

I have the socket bluetooth card and I love it. I sync with it all of the time. I have transfered files between my pc and a bluetooth enabled Ipaq. I have also sent and received appointments with an Ipaq. The only thing that wont work is the LAN Access feature. I think it's because I need to setup connection sharing on my pc and I haven't.

As far as setting it up to sync first pair the devices and then set active sync to use the com port that bluetooth serial is setup for and then it should work.

I am getting a bluetooth phone this week so I will see how those features work. Good luck.

Are you using the built in Bluetooth that is part of wm2003 or are you using the Socket bluetooth utilities? Socket has more software than just the drivers. you need to download the "Socket OBEX for CompactFlash" software and "Socket Dialer for CompactFlash". Those will add functionality to the Socket Bluetooth adapter. Then you just tap the bluetooth icon on your today screen and select the option you want. That's what works for me.
