Seems everyone is looking for the ideal case for their Axim.
I would like to be able to carry a single organizer for meetings and such.
Thus far, I have been unsuccessful in finding a portfolio/folio/organizer/planner, or whatever you want to call it, that has a pocket that will protect my Axim when not in use, and also has room for a few accessories such as my ear bud headphones, and my WiFi CF card.
Ideally it would also be able to accomodate a notepad (I know, but I can't totally rid myself of the need for paper).
It appears most of the cases out there a designed with the emphasis on small size, and allow the PDA to be used without removing it from the case. I just want a basic organizer with a protective pocket/compartment that will securely hold the Axim. When I need to use the Axim I will remove it from it's pocket.
I have seen a few portfolios with pockets for a calculator or PDA, but due to the size of the Axim I am not sure it will fit.
Am I the only one who wants this type of functionality in a case?
I have seen the Franklin site. I agree, very nice, but too expensive for my budget! Also, due to it larger size, wasn't sure if the Axim would fit in the pocket.
You might want to just take note of the dimensions of the Axim, and look at the different Universal cases. I cannot think of any sites off the top of my head, but you might want to just do a search for PPC cases, and just go by the dimensions. If I ever get more money, that is what I plan on doing. :) I really like the FC case, but like you said, too expensive for my budget, too.

I was looking for a similar case and saw one at Office Depot that I thought would be perfect. I didn't have my Axim yet so I couldn't verify it would fit, but I seem to recall that it said the iPaq would fit so I figured it would be a good chance.
It had a ring binder for paper (6x9 I think, but it was a standard size with cheap refills available). I can't remember the brand, but if you have an Office Depot nearby you might be able to check it out. It was displayed with the Dayplanners.
