Yes, it will work. Many of us use it with the X5.

Got mine in early December and have used it since. Use either the Sumbol or Socket drivers. Both work. I like the Symbol ones better. Do a search here to find the link to the drivers.

Thanks everyone I won it on ebay for 13.00 dollars and then became nervous as to why it was so cheap and wondered if this model sucks or something, and just wanted to make sure.

Whoooopppssss! Just saw the picture. That is a Notebook PC version of the card. Xdalaw has the correct one for the Axim. Its a CF format card.

wheels22,
I’m really sorry I didn’t check the model number you posted above against the Symbol card I have. I probably would have realized you were looking at a PC card rather than a CF card. The name (Spectrum 24) is the same on both cards. While you may be able to use the PC card with the X5 by buying a PC-2-CF adapter, it’s going to be quite an awkward setup. See if you can cancel the order and check for doctorsurplus – he’s the seller on ebay that often offers the Symbol CF cards for $30 or less.

That would explain why it was so cheap, I have 2 of the CF versions, one in my Ax and one in my laptop via a PC Card adapter, they both work flawlessly, perfect.
You should really do your research on if a card will work with your Ax BEFORE you buy it.

I think that's why he was asking here. I feel like we let him down if he's gone ahead and bought this :(

It's a bit ambiguous but I don't think we're to blame here, either way, it's not like he can't resell it..I'm looking for a PC WiFi card myself and $13 is a great price.

Wheels22,
I'm glad we (well, really xdalaw) caught it in time and you didn't get stuck with it. See if you can find doctorsurplus on ebay. He often has a good price on the Symbol CF cards (typically $20-30 - not as cheap as $13 but a pretty good price for a quality CF card).
Scratch22,
Wheels22 asked about the card (giving the model number) in his first post in this thread which seems to have been before he bid on it. I made the incorrect assumption that it was the CF card he was asking about. Anyway, it looks like there's one of the PC cards available again if you are interested :)
