belt clips and styli
Three or four years ago, I bought a Covertec flipcase for my Philips Nino (that was probably more worthwhile than the Nino itself). It has a quick-release belt clip that still works well. However, I noticed that Covertec's new Dell case doesn't include the same clip (or any clip at all). I wonder why that is, as it was the primary reason I bought the Nino case. It seems that quite a few manufacturers nowadays don't offer clips. I prefer when they offer users the choice, as some do.
The other reason I bought the case was that it has a small slot for holding a stylus and, moreover, came with a Pilot Pentopia that's a perfect fit (obviously). It's a great little stylus, and I now use it for my Axim.
So here's my problem--it appears that none of the flipcases out there nowadays have a way of holding the Pentopia. So if I want to use it, I'll have to carry the stylus around in my pocket or devise some way of attaching it to the case. I like the Axim stylus, but the Pentopia is just easier to use.
It's too bad that Covertec abandoned this line of thought--I really think that my Nino case was superior to many of the designs out there now. If it weren't too big, I'd use it for my Axim.
Guess I'll have to stop living in the WinCE Age.
