Thumb Keyboard
Just wondering. Does anyone have the Dell snapon Thumb Keyboard and what do you think about it. Is it worth the 50 dollars it sells for? Does it work well with the Axim?

Thanks!

I don't have one, but from what I hear it works fine, if that is what you want. For a few more $, you can have a foldable keyboard which is close to full size. You can type more normally. But if you want the smaller thumb board, this one should work for you.

We have one that we used on a large construction project punch list. Worked great!

Thumb Keyboard needs software?

Does the Thumb Keyboard require some software? I got one in the mail from a seller on ebay. Plugged it in and the Axim came on, but the keys don't seem to do anything. Looked at input settings, and didn't see anything relevant.

Thanks,
Frank

Yes you need to load the drivers. You can download them from the downloads area of this site. Here is a link.

http://www.aximsite.com/modules.php?...nload&ci d=11

Download the file for the Dell Snap-On keyboard.

just getting my 2 cents in....I am typing this message with the foldout keyboard, but I do also have the thumb-board and LOVE IT. You have to learn a few function buttons before you get much speed out of it, but after only a week, I get a heck of a lot faster input with it than I can a stylus, and I have VERY little use of my right hand.....highly recommend the snap on thumb keyboard. I got mine off eBay for about $30 including shipping....
