cf reader for the memory sticks
Hey there folks. First off I would like to say how cool this site is. It has helped me out so many times!
So here is my problem. I just bought a sony dsc-p72 digital camera, 3.2 mega pixals. I was wondering if there is a cf reader out there that I can plug into my axim and have it read the memory stick. That way I can tranfer my images over to my 512 sd card instead of buying a new memory stick. I have tons of things that I use the cf and sd cards for but nothing exept the camera, does that make sense. Thanks so much for your help.

I'm curoius of the same thing as I've got a Sony DSC-F717 and it's much less expensive to purchase SD than MS. /=

Why not buy a cheap multi card reader for your desktop/laptop and transfer using that? I guess the only advantage of using the axim is that its "in your hand".

Got that right. I bought two 10-1 readers and spent a grand total of about $25. They both even came with 2 cables, one 6ft. and one 1ft. :approve:

People should stay away from Sony's proprietary formats, you gonna end up paying more in the long run. Like Sony Mini Disc and the Memory Stick...if Sony didn't charge so much for licecning and royalties, maybe more companies would be willing to support their formats. And Sony's failed attempt to take over the MP3 format with there own ATRAC format

Well, because when on vacation and I'm taking pictures with my digital camera, it's nifty to be able to transfer them to my PDA and upload them to my online gallery via the hotel's free wifi. Agreed?
Why bring the laptop if I don't have to?
