compact flash cover? just the lil plastic
piece that fits in the CF slot?

It'll be more useful to get a compactflash card to fill the slot

I have 2, 256 MB SD Cards, and 1, 256 MB CF Card,
but I dont always use the CF card... and besides a
card only half fills the slot... I have contacted Dell
waiting for a reply... they should be able to send
me one...

Did you ever get Dell to send another CF cover? If so, how much was it? I'd like to try the "mod" on it (actually a different mod I hdad in mind), but would be nice to know I can get another if I screw up. :)

Nope :-( I have mine all carved out, so
i could store a SD card there.. but still
want one un-modified .. in case I have
to send it back ever...

modded cf cover

Theres a link for a modded cf cover. If I can find mine, I would try as well.

I have been using both a 128 and 256mb flash card interchagably without problems.

What if you dont have a dremel to do the mod. What else can i use?

Haven't done the mod myself. But I'm sure you could use a very sturdy (i.e. not thin) handy knife. I'm sure it would be much easier to mess it up by using a knife or similar means though. The dremel would make it much easier to mod.
