I've spent almost as much time reading these boards today as I did researching PDAs and eventually settling on the Axim. :rolling:
I think I've finally narrowed my case choices to the Sena and the EB Slipper, and I'd like a few more opinions, please ... preferably from someone who's tried both.
The magnets in the EB case aren't an issue for me -- I won't carry credit cards in the case. I assume the EB case has an opening for headphones like the Sena does? Can't tell from the pics.
The prices seem roughly equivalent, so that's another non-issue. Both cases look wonderful, although the Sena conceals more of the Axim's front than the EB does.
Oh, and just how big and bulky is that Ultra Clip that's available for the Sena? Is the clip on the EB case any smaller?
Well I dont have either, but have researched many,
and my Sena is on the way, how ever one thing
to keep in mind is the Ultra clip, It is made
by "www.theclip.com" and if you buy a Sena case
with the ultra clip on it, the knob on the back is sewn
in permently...
SO. I bought the case with out a ultraclip
knowing that in the future I can just goto www.theclip.com and buy a clip
seperately, they do adhere with a adhiesive
from 3M! that is removeable....
Also, If i hadent already bought my case I
probably would of settled on a Krussle, a lot
cheaper and look pretty good.. https://ssl32.securedata.net/moonlig...exd.asp?id=761
(except, The button cutouts look pretty bad
almost like those two top buttons might be
hard to press.....)
I do like the looks of that magnetic closure, it is on the back...
sorta a combo between the button and magnet closures...

Have you looked at Vaja? I just got mine today and I am very happy with it, from my initial reaction. I originally, pre-ordered the Sena before I found out that Vaja was making an Axim case. I am going to try to post a review and some pics tomorrow.
Yes, I've looked closely at the Vaja, in addition to the Sena and the EB, and now I'm seriously considering the Piel Frama also (only about $10 more than the Sena w/ clip). Except the Piel Frama for the Axim doesn't seem to be available yet, or at least not from ExecutivePDA.com. (It may already be available directly from Piel Frama, but their price is a bit higher, not to mention the higher shipping charges to the U.S.)
I love the looks of the Vaja, but I don't think I like the interior quite as much -- I'd rather have a few more nooks and crannies inside. And I think I've ruled out the EB, only because I'd like something other than black (I've been using a black case for my Jornada for the past couple of years, and I'd like something different this time).
As for the Sena, it looks perfect in almost every way. I'm just not convinced about its ease in slipping out of the case to sync in the cradle (which I'd like to be able to use). Anyone have any comments about that?
I would choose the sena case over the eb, the ebs look very cheap from the screen shots, and a bunch of people that have the eb, confirmed that it does look and feels cheap
... when I read one post from a person who said he or she has two cases so far and may be going for three. No, that person certainly isn't the only crazy one, I may wind up doing the same thing!
I decided to order the Sena and give it a try. I can always send it back if I find it too tricky to slip the Axim out and back in.
And now, of course, I'm giving the Vaja another look. Again, I'd like something other than black, so I may end up ordering one at some point in the future, when they offer other colors ... LOL!
You know, the customized version of the Vaja lets pick and choose almost everything. The inside can match the outside or can be regular tan leather. It also lets you choose what pockets you want on the inside, if any. I'm sold on the Vaja, I just can't swallow the price yet.

I can't tell for sure from the pics, but it looks like the case doesn't have a cutout for the jog dial -- and that's important to me, since I intend to use my new toy to play lots of music files.
I could live with the black, I suppose, but that jog dial access is important to me. Maybe I'll call Case Techworks and ask them about it -- the picture could be deceptive.
Someone earlier said no company has yet come out with the perfect case. Why don't a bunch of us here invent it and make a million dollars? ;)
I have seen at least two cases like
this that fit in the cradle...
and im sure one of them had cut out
for jog dial... I'll look when I get home
from work in my history....

I've already ordered the Sena, but there's plenty of time for me to cancel it if I decide to go with something else.
I'm ruling out the customized Vaja -- can't justify the high price (the Sena is pricey enough!), and I don't care for the interior design of the standard case. The Case Tech looks terrific, but I'm going to call them later to find out if it allows access to the jog dial -- can't tell from the pics.
I'm still considering the Piel Frama also, looks like a wonderful case. It's not available from ExecutivePDA yet, but I just looked more carefully at Piel Frama's own site, and it seems the shipping charges are included in the price (60 euros, which is around $65) -- so that's not as bad as I thought it would be.
I'll post later if I get any additional info about the Case Tech.

Thank you!!! I'd really appreciate that -- would love to have a case that I could just pop into the cradle.

lol... I think you may be talking about me... I got the Sena and the EB cases. Since I got the EB case first, I sold the Sena. Now I'm waiting on the Innopocket so I can get rid of the EB case. Between the two(EB and Sena) I liked the construction and fit of the Sena better. Unfortunately I was not able to take side-by-side pics of the two cases before selling the Sena. We've gotten a lot of snow here in Chicago the past two days so I didn't get a chance to borrow a digicam.
Can't wait for the Innopocket.... looks like that going to be the case for me...
Well, I have looked and looked
but I cant seem to find that other
case, and after re-viewing that
other one I posted, it definately
does not have a cut-out for
the Jog dial, I saved the image
and adjusted the brightness
on it... it also does not look
very secure!!..
If you want access for listeing to MP3s,
from what I hear I would stick with the
Sena.... and you still get your colors...
Now, the downside.... wont fit in the cradle
You could get a Cable, I have a power/sync
cable.. works great... I got it here for 10 bucks! https://ssl32.securedata.net/moonlig...ies%20-%20Dell
how ever seems kind of a waste of
our BEAUTIFULL Cradles!!
But if you just want to sync you can use the cable
(which is also great fur surfing the web from the
cable! .. i use it while im laying in bed about to sleep..)
But anyway, Sync from the cable, and then remove
from the case for longer periods to sit in the cradle..
and display of course :-)
