If any of you have received your Sena case for the Axim already, are you experiencing any "fit" problems?
The fit is very snug, which is great, but the Axim does not sit low enough in the case, resulting in misalignment for key access points.
The power button is somewhat covered.
The SD slot is covered at the top preventing access.
The sync cable opening is too low preventing access also.
I have pushed the Axim into its "pocket" as far as possible without damaging the leather, and these alignment problems still exist. Also, I don't think the leather could break in enough to fix this.
I am thinking of returning or exchanging it, but don't know if this problem is unique to my case or problematic of the case design in general. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
I know where you're coming from to an extent. the power button is a little covered, though I can still press it pretty easily.
as for the SD slot, the top is slightly covered, but I can remove it no prob, though the leather sometimes catches the top of the card a bit. I don't have an SD card though, so I'm testing this with the plastic card that comes with it (same size though).
my only issue is that the cutout for the screen goes exactly to the edge of the screen (overlaps a tiny bit at the top, though only 1 or 2 mm). I wish that the cutout was about 1/4 inch bigger on each edge.
I still really like the sena case though, easy to carry around, looks good, I really like the leather, very soft. I threw on some leather conditioner for good measure also.
I have a slightly similar problem. On one side of the case my ax fits snug to almost not going in far enough, on the jog dial side the pocket seems a bit long causing the screen to appear slightly crooked in the cut out, which is a little annoying. I like the case I just wish the my ax would fit in better. I sent Sena an email asking about exchanges due to this. I have not heard back yet.
I agree - power button is a bit blocked. I can't get it down any lower, either.
Overall, I like the case, though.
One thing - I ordered the case before I bought my CF WiFi card and now I am BUMMED that I have to remove the card in order to close the Sena case. So, I cut a whole in the case to accomodate the top of my DLINK card! I figured if this didn't work, I was going to order the Innopocket case anyway, so what the heck. A nice new Exacto blade and a few minutes later, and I can now close my case with the WiFi card in...I'll let you know if the case falls apart any time soon due to my alteration...
I aven't noticed any problems at all, if anything the case is too loose, but I think this is because I removed the rubber feet as they were starting to get loose (I need to super-glue them back on) the cutous align fine, I can use the foldable keyobard with it fine, and I can hold it in my hand and use it in-pocket with MP3 controls, or read eBooks with the jog dial fine, I don't really have any gripes with it so far :)
Mine sits oh so slightly high though everything is fully accessible and functional.
Give it time, a wee little stretch is all it needs. I am confident it will nestle in better over time. This could be something they actually allowed for in the design.
I just received my Sena case, and I must say, it's a perfect fit. I also pre-ordered the innopockets case, but seeing as how nice the Sena looks/fits, I may cancel the other order.
I was very concerned about the Sena after reading several of the negative posts, but mine looks perfect.
Put it in and it's nice and snug. I'm sure after about a week of taking it in and out it will loosen up. This may help with yours as far as the snap. If it doesn't I would exchange it. All my button are perfectly aligned - power button slightly off, but doesn't make difference.
If you got yours at the promo price of $29.99 I wouldn't bother looking at another. I've used eb cases with my palm III, palm V, visor, and handera 330. They're also nice, but they cost more and I ussually had fit problems and needed to exchange. I also ordered a vaja case for my palm and didn't think it was worth the money - the fit wasn't great for the price and the leather was too think and stiff. I like the soft thin leather of the sena.
The other case I'm also very curious about is the covertec case. I like the way you can see a lot more of your axim. And it looks much easier to take out if you have a craddle.
My black/red Sena arrived on Monday and I picked it up yesterday. I am very satisfied with the case, with one small gripe. The strip of leather than runs between the screen and button holes is stitched unevenly. The left side of the strip is about a 1/4 of an inch, while the right is about a 1/3 of an inch, causing the screen hole to fit unevenly on the left bottom side.
The snap strap is long enough, and doesn't scrunch up the leather when snapped. In fact, I'm able to put my WCF12 in the top credit card slot, with the mirror in the bottom slot, and the cover snaps perfectly. This was my major concern, but it worked out quite nicely.

Mine does the same thing, I think its
just the way it is....
Also anyone have problems using
the stylus on the right side of the screen
if your right handed? .. such as like
scroll bars? ..

I received my Brown Sena today and either I got lucky or they are doing a better job with the fit. Mine fits perfectly at every point! I couldn't be happier with it. The Axim is snug but not tight and I really like this color.:D
