Just ordered Covertec case!
The Covertec case is now available on their web site. Cost is $39.95 (US) plus shipping. Unfortunately my estimated ship date isn't until March 31. Oh well. I just wanted to let everyone know they are out now!

I amd also interested in this case. I just received my sena case and it's ok, but I really like the way covertec's case allows you to see more of your axim. Have you gotten any info as to how snug the axim fits in the case? I'm just wondering if it might slip out accidentally once the cover is opened.
Also, is the 31st when you were told it would ship or you'd receive it. I couldn't get an answer to this a couple of weeks back from covertec.
Thanks - I really like the style.

My e-mail said that it was on backorder (curious since they just came out!) and will not ship until March 31. I think it will be worth the wait though!

Hey primate,
would love to hear your impressions of the Covertec case. For me it's Sena-vs-Covertec-vs-Vaja (Vaja being the long-shot).
I'm really interested in...
1. Quality of leather
2. Possible use w/ extended battery
3. How much bulk it adds to Mr. Axim.
Cheers
Tokyo J

I went with the Innopocket after much deliberation but Covertec is a real close second and as happy as I am with the metal case from Innopocket I still have some buyers regret as the Covertec looks great.
IMHO opinion the Covertec is a better bet than both Sena and Vaja and the reason being is simple - Vaja too expensive, Sena doesn't have the quality of either a Vaja or a Covertec and last but not least - I hate the way cutouts make my PDA's look in their cases and Covertec has none.
If the Innopocket does not live up to my expectations I most certainly will consider ordering a Covertec as well.
We'll see...........................

I don't know why you have to wait until 3/31. I ordered from Mobile Planet Tuesday morning and it shipped yesterday. I'm getting 2nd day air delivery tomorrow.

Does anyone know if this case has a magnet or snap close?

Well, silly me. I just trusted their e-mail and didn't bother to check the tracking. It's on its way-will be here tomorrow. So I don't know what all that backorder stuff was about but I am glad it wasn't right! Thanks Bob. Without you I never would have bothered checking.

okay, nevermind. I just looked and I can't remember what made me think it was magnetic. Go with Bob's answer, because I obviously don't know!

Hmmm - looks like a snap in the photos of most of the other cases. I've sent an email to them asking for clarification.
