DSI flip-top case (AKA pda armor) update

I received some info that an ABS flip-top case to be sold by DS International for $29 is due out in early April. This same case was mentioned somewhere in the forum as PDA Armor (www.pda-armor.com) and that site will direct you to www.dsi-store.com.

This case is custom made for the Axim, the cover flips up, the extended battery will work, and all ports and controls are open. I have attached a picture that shows four views of the case. The brochure at the website says that there is a neoprene lining cover for the screen, but it does not show on the pics.

You will immediately notice a swivel belt clip right on the FRONT of the case. I didn't like this myself and asked the company if a grinder would work to remove this being as it is only ABS. Their rep (George) agreed that a grinder would work fine.

Just another option for a hard case that someone might be interested in.

Finally -- maybe we have a case that works with WiFi and GPS cards. Looks pretty good. But then again, so did the innopocket at first.

I know a case like this wouldn't fold all the way back, but I wonder if it at least will fold parallel to the Axim (ie just pointing straight out from the top of axim)?

The more I look at this case the more I like the design. It seems very well thought out. I would rather have the clip button on the back, though. It looks like if you get it, then you might as well use the extended battery, since it looks like it would match the form of the case. I will wait for someone else to try it out first, you never know about plastic, it can vary from flimsy or fragile to solid and strong.
