Controller for Windows Media Player control...

Hello,
I have an axim x5 and I use it as my primary MP3 player on my way to and from class. I usually have to put the axim in my pocket, making it difficult to change songs, adjust volume, ect. I am aware that the buttons can be programmed to do these things but that isn't really doing enough for me.

My question is, does a controller (either remote or wired into a compact flash) exist so as to control the buttons on the axim? If you are confused, I am referring to an object like the one pictured on this page, (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/navipod-review.html), but for the axim, not an ipod.

Thanks a lot!

I dont know of any specifcally designed for ppc 2003. However such a device may be useful for other apps.

For volume control you could try a generic set of ear phones with a simple in line volume control on them.

If a wired remote would be good enough, and you aren't afraid of doing a little surgery on your axim, it wouldn't be too hard to rig one up. Just cut a little port in the side and glue in a jack with the pins inside connected to the axim's buttons. Then make a little remote in a small case/candy tin/whatever, wire it to a plug that fits in the jack and there you go.
