Mad Dell - USB - Travel Sync Cable!!!

Can I purchase an Axim Travel Sync cable from someone else other than Dell?

The reason I ask is that I have just gone to order one on the Dell website and the standard P&P is more than the cable itself!

I personally think this is a rip off, because the cable is only a small item and would fit in a small jiffy bag.

Sorry to moan, but it really makes this small order a dear item when P&P is added.

Peter..........

Try www.thepocketsolution.com.
I got a couple of things there in the last month and their customer service is pretty good. Beware of the Rapid Travel charger though - I have had an issue getting this to work....but have not confirmed if it's the product or an issue with the Axim.

Also bear in mind that most of these cables (from other mfgs) can both sync and charge the Axim. The Dell cable can only sync.

Not cool,

Hi Nigel

Can you please point me in the direction of the site that you bought your cable from?

I also live in the UK so hopefully I can do the same as you.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

Ok. I'm confused. I was under the impression that a sync cable CAN'T charge your Axim. So which is it?

It "trickle charges" the AXIM since USB can provide a small current. It uses the same connection as the docking cradle - a large D-Sub type connection.

Some can, some can't. It depands on the brand. Dell's cannot.
