I'll start out with saying just how much I *love* my Axim. It's great. I gave up an iPaq 3835 to get this puppy, and other than a few beefs regarding the location of the record button (what WERE they thinking?!?) and the stiffness of the scroll bar, I'm happy.

Oh, and the case. Ew. Maybe I was just spoiled with having the kind of quality case I got with the iPaq - it was amazing, perfect, beautiful... and I don't have that with the Axim... yet.

I'm willing to pay for it, if I could only find one! Unfortunately Dell hasn't taken the need for this type of case to heart and are only offering the cheap case that comes with it (to me, it looks like they just got lucky with the measurements and it just luckily fit in...) and the leather case... don't even get me started.

With that said, I've seen some really nice flip-top NON-LEATHER (stress on the no leather) cases for the iPaq, but does anyone know if they've seen anything that's designed for the Axim, or has been reported to be designed for it in the near future?

I really need something other than a slip case similar to the style that shipped with the Axim, I always have a fear it'll slip out of my hands and go crashing to the ground (no complete care on handhelds, it seems!) and I'd rather that not happen

So - any help at all would be appreciated. I'm looking for a style similar to
this, but that will actually work with the Axim :)

hey! That looks good, I wonder if it will fit on the cradle after the case is on. I'm looking at the cradle and there isn't a lot of room for a case.

I'm a vegan, so that's why I'm trying to find a non-leather case. I love this one, though! Exactly what I'm looking for... just... with... well, cow! ;)

No way!!! No case will ever be able to fit on the axim while it is in the cradle, simply not enough room. However, if you get the cable instead of the cradle that will work

That does look like a nice case, but 42 ducks with shipping? Hmph. A little too much for something like that, IMHO

I ordered the slipper case last week and the site said it was on backorder. Today I received an email sying that it shipped. I'll post my comments when i get it.

As for it being leather, what are we supposed to do with all of the hides from cows - fill up the landfills with them?

Ok so I leave the socket card in all the time. Whats a good case to use with the socket card, and still not depress any buttons I would like to get one that folds open with a small note pad on the cover.

I'd like a case along the lines of what was shown above, but since I use my axim as an mp3 player a bit, would it be able to have a slot open for the headphone jack when the case is closed?

The case shown above has an opening for the headphone jack when the top flap is folded down.

to the vegan, you're using the case, not eating it =)
but overall I've heard some bad feedback on those cases feeling "cheap", I didn't buy it when I first saw it because it did look cheap from the screenshots
