Question Help! Axim X5 + Socket Communications Low Power CF Card

When attempting to run the driver installation software from either the installation CD or from Socket's website my X5 gives me an error: "CFWLAN_124F_CD30 is not a valid PocketPC application."

I have also tried using the following installation files to ensure I wasnt using the wrong version: CFWLAN_WinMbl2003.exe, CFWLAN_WinCE300.exe, WTMESetup.exe and I receive the same error (with different file names of course) each time.

I am copying the installation file from my desktop PC to the SD card on the PDA. I have copied and tested several other applications and image files through the same process and they work fine.

I don't have the PDA with me right now, but I know it is running Pocket PC 2002 and earlier today I updated the ROM to A04 (it was A00).

Any ideas?

Those files are setup files and must be run from the PC, the correct drivers will be copied to the X5 through ActiveSync.

You are using the wrong version. Rom A04 is 2002. Make sure you're installing 2002 drivers, 2003 drivers won't work .
