Will there ever be a Wifi/Bluetooth combo CF card?

Is it because of the potential interference with each card frequency? Don't both use the ~2.4GHz range?

Costs? It would be "one" less card to carry around >_>

Yep, they both use 2.4GHz but there is technology that allows them to operate together and tells BT to avoid the frequency being used by Wifi. This is why so many PDAs have both BT and Wifi and some of them even allow you to use both at once (and well). :)

So yes, feasible. There are OTHER issues that would have to be addressed outside of just the frequency overlap. They could not share the same antenna for example without introducing other issues. Even on the X50v the Wifi and BT antennae are on opposite sides.

I also think you'll see fewer companies willing to invest in developing CF cards whose main use is in handheld devices when so many handhelds on the market already have at least one, and often both, of those technologies built in. Why invest development funds when the market is disappearing.

Even though it would be cool, I also think it's too late in the game... It would of already been made by now...
