Well, I figured it out. I feel like a total knob though!
The proxy server at work has been misconfigured for over a year. If you didn't enter its address in your proxy server set up (on a desktop or PDA), you could connect directly to the internet (and they couldn't filter content or track your activity). Well, the rocket scientists in systems finally figured it out last week and fixed it so you
have to use the proxy server now to access the internet.
Naturally, I put the proxy server into my connections set up and forgot about it. After installing the new router I fired up PIE and couldn't connect to anything. I started going through Ike's guide step by step tonight and found the stupid proxy server from the office in my set up. Removing it solved the problem immediately.
I'm totall embarrassed

, but figured I'd post just in case someone ever was having similar problems.
Thanks,
Gary
