Well what do you want to do with it most? Music means CF/SD cards, wireless communication means a WiFi card etc.

I'd suggest the largest capacity CF card (They are cheaper) you can afford & a pair of collapsable headphones to start.

For deals on memory and such, head over to the hot deals section. I just a 256mg sd card for $47 after rebate. Since you aren't interested in WIFI or other CF devices, CF memory cards can be pretty cheap too.

you could get a hefy large cf card for 100$,but then sd is a bit nicer if you want wifi, and it has lower power consumtion.

I also meant to say CF not SD a slip of the typing fingers. Have edited it to make it correct.

Right now I'm picking up 256 MB CF cards when I can find them cheap. Holds quite a few tunes & doesn't take too long to copy the files to them.
