Back up failing

I had to replace my Axim due to a broken screen. Backed up the entire handheld using the backup utility to a SD card. Worked fine. Today when I tried to restore it says it failed. Tried it multiple times. Anyone else have this problem?

Did you look in one of the threads below? Your anser may be in there?

I read those posts...they seem to be failing backing up...not restoring...I wonder if the file is corrupt or something. Doesn't matter too much because I manually installed everything back to where I was...and performed a hard reset on my old one. I don't trust the backup application.

I didn't trust it either. I just created a new profile and went into my desktop PC and into my old Profile folder copied all doc, spreadsheets, and what ever files I had synced and pasted it into my new profile folder and everything was kewl. As long as I have my important data, I can always reinstall games and stuff like that.

I also had restore problems, got my ax back from pocketpc techs after a screen replacement (damned thing broke during a 2 foot fall!) went to restore and it did restore except for settings (like which today theme to use, owner info, etc...) but then the axim wouldn't sync, so I did a hard reset and set up a new association and all was cool I guess the back up doesn't REALLY do a full backup like the Visor did. ...oh well that means I'll just use that card for movies/music instead.
