Is there a way to keep the switcher bar on after a soft reset?

Sure. Simply make a shortcut (.lnk file) to the program and place it in the \Windows\Startup directory. Same goes for any other program/utility you'd like everytime you (re-)start your Pocket PC.

rhyno, thanks for the quick response...that worked great.

One other question, do you put your new apps in the folders? I ask because all my programs are just in the windows folder and not the individual folders inside the windows folder? Does it matter if i move them?

I suggest that you don't move anything from Windows folder. It's just like Windows for desktop PCs. Installation program for each application places those files in there. I bet your apps won't work correctly if you move them...

Are you referring to the applications themselves, or the links to them? As the previous poster mentioned, you shouldn't mess with the location of apps and associated files.

Are all your apps in the \Windows folder? The ones that come with PPC 2K2 should be in there, but new ones you add should be in the \Program Files\ folder (e.g. \Program Files\Total Commander). Don't move those!

Can you explain how to do this for the rank newbie? And we're doing this on the Axim directly, correct?
TIA,
Donna

donna,

Go to file explorer, and in the top left, click on my device, then in the top left click on windows, now scroll down until you see Switcher it should have an icon with an up and down arrow in it. Click and hold down, click copy. Now scroll back up to the Startup folder. Click on it to open it, now in the bottom left, click on edit and then paste shortcut, and you are set.
