Here's an image of what my Programs group looks like:
What I want is for my Programs group to look like the Programs group on my desktop where when you click Programs->, a popup menu comes up with the various program folders.

You can't do it the same as the desktop but you can put all the files into folders like 'games' on your screen shot. This will cleanup the programs screen to only show folders. There is room for 9 folders on one screen.
This is easily done on the desktop with windows explorer.
-navigate to the windows/start menu /programs folder in the Axim
-then make new folders like , publish, travel, utilities etc
-now drag/move the program shortcuts from the root of the 'programs' folder into your new folders
-more program shortcuts are in the windows/shortcut folder (Home on the start menu) which you may want to move or copy.
-now when you install a new program it will likely show up at the bottom of the programs screen and you can cut and paste it into the appropriate folder
There is not much use for the home function as it duplicates the programs folder except it uses graphics. I have remapped the home button to the 'today' screen
