Axim Stylus

I've used my Axim for a couple weeks now and the stylus is terrible. I've tried and tried to get used to it - but it's just not happening! Dell - if your listening - make the next one round. This reminds me of that terrible mouse that came out with the iMacs. People defended it at first, but eventually they came out with a new improved mouse. I now use a pen\penicl\stylus combo. I only use the flat Axim stylus if I have to.

Whates everyone elses thoughts? The only benefit I can see is - imagine your on a ship in rough water. If you set your stylus down it won't roll away. I dunno.... I'm reaching.

I agree the stylus would not have been my design of choice. I would also prefer a round stylus that felt more like a pen or pencil in my hand.

well this is my first handheld, so i have nothing to compare it too. No it is the best, but i don't mind it, i think it is kinda cool. It is kinda modern retroish

I actually like the flat stylus. That may put me in the minority, but what can I say? I hated it at first because I had 3 years of Palm Pilot/Clie experience and they all had round styli. But now I like it. I like the placement on the unit and everything :)

I actually like it. This is my first PDA so I don't have much to compare it to, but I do like it more then the typical round ones. What I do wish for though is that Dell would have made it ejectable, instead of having to dig your finger into the grooves to get it out of it's seat.

Perhaps I have the same bias that Cheryl originially had. I had an iPaq with a round stylus and have now had my Axim about two weeks. Perhaps I will get more used to it also.

I have to agree with Cheryl, I like the stylus too. Even my hubby(who just plays games) says he likes it better than the Palm stylus. I guess it is just one of those things...

I hate it. Palm IIxe-iPaq 3765-Axim X5. The other ones were better. I use a Pen/Stylus combo I got a Lotusphere 2002 last year from Lotus/IBM.

Even I like the round stylus but this one is not very bad either.
