I was on Dell's site and saw you can buy a cradle for $40 but I'd really just like an extra sync cable for work so I can sync in both places without having to have two cradles.

Anyone know if you can just buy the sync cable?

You can buy the travel cable on Dell's site. I have two, one for work and one for my laptop that I use at home so I don't have to lug my cradle around.

Before you spend your money, check this out:

http://www.boxwave.com/products/minisync/

This syncs and charges the Axim and its one cable to lug around!

They're due out 2/5/2003. I'm seriously considering one of these for work.

Has this miniSync cable tested for other units yet? Are they reliable?

Howdie all,

My name's Wing Lum and I'm a PR representative from BoxWave.com (producer of the award winning miniSync and Cleartouch). :D...Haha, I know it sounds like a plug, but there were some questions about quality and people having already tested our cable out.

I was browsing these forums and thought I'd leave a note here since there seems to be a bit of confusion.

1) Our cable is EXTREMELY reliable and durable. The ability to support to full bricks is NOT a joke, though I don't recommend people haphazardly try it out :P.

2) It WILL indeed sync AND charge your PDA simultaneously.

Please, if you have any other questions or concerns, please immediately shoot them my way via a PM or an email to customerservice@boxwave.com.

Very best wishes all,

Wing Yew Lum
BoxWave Inc. :).

I have a synch/charge USB cable for my Jornada, and it is the way to go if you travel and want to pack light. Mine is made my Belkin and has a cig lighter adapter that can be plugged on to the USB end when you are in the car.
