X5 charger specifications?

When away from home I usually charge my X5 via the USB lead from my laptop but, after not using the X5 for a few days, found it completly discharged and the USB connection doesn't seem to be able to supply enough power to recharge it from flat? -- it will run, battery status says "charging", but no orange light.

I'm guessing I need to supply more power but don't have the normal charger with me: Does anyone know the specifications for the charger?

I'll put money on it being DC because the car adapter just plugs straight in.

But there should a symbol on the side that's like a large "C" around a large dot. Both the "C" and the dot should have lines extending from tham and one should have a "+" along side.

Anything like that on it?

That means its DC for sure. The polarity of the connector is indicated by whether the "+" sign is on the line connected to the outer circle (positive ring) or the inner dot (positive tip).
