Is my back up battery being drained during shipping????
I am sending my Axim x5 to someone. I did a hard reset and when you turn it on you see the Pocket Mobile 2002 screen to begin setup. Can I remove the main battery and leave the back up battery in or should I leave both batteries in.
I just don't want the back up battery to be drained when it arrives. How is it shipped from dell. Isn't the back up battery in with the main battery removed?

My X50 came with the battery out of the Axim. I hadn't opened the Axim box for two weeks, but both batteries still work. The back-up battery said normal after i first charged the li-ion.
Are you talking about an X5 or and X50v? (Your profile says X50v but you are posting in the X5 forum and talking about an X5.) The backup battery on the X5 is removable, so you can just take it out before shipping. If it's the X50v, then it's no big deal to charge up the backup battery if it drains.

I am selling my x5 and I am in the process of shipping it out. I still have my x50v which I am not referring to. I am referring to my x5 that is why I posted in the x5 forum. Thanks for trying to be helpful.

When Dell ships it to you wasn't the back up battery already in?
Will my x5 battery be drained when it arrives. Is it being drained during shipping or since I did a hard reset and nothing is setup, the battery is not being used?

If you ship it without the battery, the memory will be wiped. Dell shipped it without the main or backup batteries installed. The backup battery will only last a few hours without the main one, so don't just leave it in. If you ship it without the batteries, make sure that the battery contacts will not short out on something during transit.
