I used the link to get $40 off $300 purchase or more plus a $35 off $300 coupon.
The reason I did this was because I couldn't get ahold of the guy that took my first axim order to see if he would apply the $40 coupon to my already placed order which has the $35 coupon on it, so in fear of loosing this coupon I went ahead and ordered another one. I sent him a picture of the $40 applied to a possible order.
Ship date is 2/5 so I have to wait another day over my original day. I can wait one more day for an extra $40 :)
here's my email
Order detail - order placed 1/14/2003 8:54:45 PM

How did you get a $75.00 discount? Also, where did you get the coupon?

its a combination of both coupons i mentioned.
go to www.techbargin.com and search for 4001yr
below is a link to purchase the axim and click on it.
the next page will display a pricegrabber-esque page saying dell is the only seller of the axim 400.
click on the dell link on that page.
when you go to check out there will be a $40 off coupon already.

Dang dude, can't believe I missed that deal! That's an awesome find, and it still works... I don't think I'm gonna cancel my order tho, but I probably should.. $40 vs. later shipment... dang, why'd I have to see this??? I saved $25 by opening a Dell Preferred account, so really I would save $15... I guess then I coulda saved $40 + $25... ugh, wish i never woulda seen this...

That is a great find. I only wish I had found it before I ordered my Axim. Oh well, now my girlfriend can get her 300mhz Axim and I can order the keyboard as well and get the savings. Thanks again!

Everyone hurry and do this! I just got off the phone with Dell confirming my new order and they are beginning to realize this error!
Hurry!

Sorry, I was so excited about the extra $40 off, I made another post instead of a reply.
Thanks for the great tip! It worked fine. I just made another order. If I have two Axims, will it double my fun?

I got my 300mhz (when it arrives) for $175. $50 rebate and a 10% off coupon I bought for $5 on Ebay :) Those coupons are stackable too.

well they caught it last night on my order and stopped the order so i told them to cancel it.
i called the rep back that i ordered my first axim through and he'll honor the $40 off.
the second rep tried to argue with me saying the coupon does NOT include axim's so i said cancel my second order but i want you email address.... he supplied it and i sent him a screenshot WITH the details of the coupon that did not mention the axim anywhere.
he didn't have much to say after that :) his manager still would not honor it oh well at least my first rep will

Yesterday I got on the phone with Dell and asked them why I was able to get this discount now and couldn't get it on Monday when I ordered my Axim. The rep was cool and tried to get approval to change the price on my original order but his supervisor wouldn't approve it. I went ahead and sent in a new order online with the additional discount but I checked again this morning and they have yet to confirm it (they did acknowledge it; I got that email). Maybe they'll cancel it like Tidal's order but if not, I'm cancelling my original order.
I agree with Tidal; it's hard to argue with your own system when the proof is there. Too bad they aren't being big boys and honoring their own mistake. Where does that fall into "Award Winning service"?
My $0.02.

Did the same thing -- I was messing around on Dell's site and was adding items to my cart to check on current projected ship dates (very anxious) and I came across the $40 discount. Since I placed my original order for a 300 with no access. on 12/31 and continuously see the order delayed -now scheduled to ship in Feb - I went through and ordered the 400 with the $90 discount (including mailin -- would have been greater but I've opted for the air instead of ground shipping, which would have been free). I've taken your advice and did a number of screen shots, in case they try to claim the $40 discount does not apply. It doesn't say anything about that. If things go the way I suspect, I probably get the order on or before the date the 300 would have arrived. Oh yeah, I canceled that one.
<_< I'll post what happens.... I ordered a D-Link 660W cf card and 256 SD mem - I have the mailin $40 bestbuy rebate in the mail for the D-Link and as soon as the scandisk secure digital card comes in, I'll ship that $30 rebate off as well. I just hope I receive the Axim before the rebates - or that would be ground breaking - one company is sending me money back before the other one takes it. The one good thing about all these back-ordered shipping woes, is I've been able to find some great deals. so far, being a little patient will save me $160.

*UPDATE*
You guys wont believe this. After specifically telling the 2nd Dell rep I was not interested in the order since they denied me the $40 I receive and email from the rep with an order confirmation with the $40 applied!!!!!!!!!!
I specifically said "Please cancel the order"
UGH. Now I gotta call this yahoo and cancel AGAIN!
