Unable to connect to home network

Hiya,

I have an Axin X5 with a Speedstream CF wireless network card.

I can access the internet successfully, but cannot access a share on one of my other computers. I have been trying to use the IP address of the machine.

This is using GSFinder or the file browser that came with the machine.

Can any one give me an idea on how to try this?

Also this card will not connect to a wireless network that hides it's SSID, has anyone got this working?

Many Thanks,

Paul Ryder

Why don't you use the built in wireless card? Just wondering.

X5 doesn't have built in wireless.

Have you tried using the computer name? ie \\computername\share as opposed to \\ipaddress\share

There's no built-in wireless card in X5's.

Paul, have you tried using Resco Explorer to try to access network shares? There's a free demo and many people have gotten to work. Also try disabling firewalls.

Before you purchase, also try Total Commander, which is a less user friendly (IMO), but is free!
