Which delivery date do I believe?

I ordered my Axim on the 13th of January with 3-5 day shipping(thinking next day wouldn't make a difference) and I got an estimated delivery date of 2/7/03. The the next day, it said it was shipped and I received an e-mail stating my order was shipped on Jan. 13, 2003. I then had an arrival date of 1/13/03. Now I check my order and it's back in production. :(

Who do I believe? The current state in my account? Or should everything be happy and wonderful, since I got the e-mail saying it was shipped?

The excitement is seriously killing me.

I've read all kinds of crazy stuff like that....my ship date(1-30) hasnt changed a bit since the day I orderded it (1-7). I almost ordered a 400 last week to see if it would ship sooner but I chickened out, didnt want to end up with two. It's been aggravating though, I've seen posts of a bunch of people ordering theirs after me and already have it but at the same time it seems like half the people that ordered theirs on 12/27 still havent gotten them....they need some serious Supply-Channel guidance.

I'd assume the 2/7/03. I got that same message when I ordered my Dell back in November. They told me then it was some sort of bookkeeping thing. You'll get another notice when you Dell actually ships.

Oh yeah and I ordered the 400 mhz model with no accessories. Does anybody have any experience ordering Axims from California?

In my experience and what I've heard from alot of people is that Dell ALWAYS exagerates on the shipping dates, they always over estimate. 99% of the time, it will always arrive earlier then their ETA's. I guess that's their way of saving their own ass and it's always nice for the customer to get their pocketpc early then it should. Alot of companies do this, they've learned from the past.
