Whenever I open my GAMES folder (My Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Games). it takes forever to open (OK, not forever, but about 30 seconds!). This is true regardless of the program I use to open the directory (File Explorer, Resco Explorer 2002, or even Start/Programs/Games).
This is the ONLY directory that takes a long time to open - others are almost instananeous.
Any ideas (besides stop wasting so much time on games!)?
I think its because the programs are on a mem card, takes longer to acces i believe. I have the same problem, if you wanna call it a prob but i believe its because of the mem. cards
Pretty sure it has to do with the Mem card access. I've also noticed when installing anything through active sync, it takes longer when "retrieving information from device" screen comes up. The more programs you have installed, the longer it takes for the information to come up. Something to do with it scanning your storage for files.
You'll also noticed when you are browsing files through any file explorer program, when you open the windows directory (which has more files) it takes longer to display than say the My Documents folder.

I found certain games - some that did not particularly like axim caused delays or frreezes in game directory - try removing and re-installing games individually (particualrly the heavy graphics\large ones)and see if certain games cause effect example tigerwoods golf
I concur on the memory card being the delay. I recently moved all my NES & SNES ROMs to an SD card from Main Memory and now they take a second or two to load when before they loaded instantly.
I've got 16 icons in my Games Folder. All my games are on my 128MB SanDisk SD card. I just timed it. It takes nearly 30 seconds for ALL the icons to appear. 14 of them show up after about 10 seconds.:crooked:
You're all wrong! It's because of the memory card.
