First make sure you have WM10 both on your home computer and your device (if it is wma you are downloading from a place like Cinema Now). Then, look at the error it gives you. This error may say something like a license code has expired. You have to specify that you want to see the detail by clicking on this error on your PC (keep PPC syned during all this). It will then ask if you want to download the updated license code. (MUST ASK FOR DETAIL VIEW OR YOU WILL NOT BE TAKEN TO CORRECT DOWNLOAD) Say yes. YOu must use the sync feature in WM10 if it is copy-protected wma video. At least I cannot get it to work by copying the video directly to the device due to copy protection. This fixed mine for this issue.
If it is not wma and not Cinema Now and is not copy protected, you may try TCPMP player better known as the Core player and the older name Beta. This also solved an issue I had playing certain types of streaming video.
