The X5 uses a Dell PA-14 family charger which can be bought off ebay for less than $15 including shipping. It's 5.4 volts, 2410ma and center positive. DO NOT buy the cheap aftermarket chargers available on ebay as they're total trash that won't last but a few weeks...that's if it doesn't start on fire and burn down your home first.

I'm not sure what you were trying to ask in the last part of your post. Proofreading and punctuation would help.

Yes Dustin, the cradle has a jack for the power cord, so it does charge while in the cradle off or on. It also has a slot where you can simultaneously charge up a backup battery. So if you choose to get a second battery it will do that too (I just got a 2nd one off eBay for $6 shipped last week).

Ok thanks. Do you know if they sell the chargers at any electronic stores? I was going to go out and look at Best Buy, Radioshack didn't have it.

Dell doesn't sell in retail outlets but you can probably find an iPaq charger - 5V, 2.4A, and same polarity. Works fine with the Axims.

I've seen them at Staples, CompUSA, Circuit City, Best Buy, Radio Shack,...
