i also have an idea as to the dpad's sloppyness....the actual nav button on the motherboard is very solid and clicks evenly in all directions...its the fact that the big dpad button just floats on top of it on 4 small feet, while being held in place via 2 small spring strips that gives it the sloppy feeling....i think if the big button were to be glued to the nav button on the mb - maby via some superglue or epoxy, it would be as good as any other pda's nav button.
next step is of course to install the new digitizer screen..which will have to wait till next pay day lol...
Good luck installing the new digitizer. Hate to see a good Axim go to waste. :)

Oh and good luck with your Axim. You look like you do this all the time.
acsurfer,
You can get more than one picture in a post ONLY if they are linked to instead of being attached. Notice none of his pics say "attached" above them. He has them on his web space (usually provided by your ISP), and you simply use the "IMG" button (near font size, quote, etc) to link to a picture on your webspace when making your post. If you want to "attach" a picture from your hard drive, you can only do one per post.
im glad you found tha tdigitized, alot cheaper then I would ahve thought, so are you going to glue the d-pad on?

Have you found any dipswitches on it? There are rumours that the Axim has dipswitches that have to be switched (of course) to get extra functionality (like SDIO instead of SDMM or the processorspeed) I couldn't see from the pictures but would be nice to know!!
Regards,
Peter
P.S. this is very helpful!!!
