Axim as remote control through IR

hi,

i saw a guy using his clie as a remote control....

axim has an IR port, so is there any way i can use it as a remote control?

There is software that will do this but the IR range on the Axim is very limited. If you want to try, search for RemoteDSP.exe (I don't remember where I downloaded it from so maybe someone else can help).

There is also a CF card IR transmitter. You can read about it on this thread and also get a bit of a 'neticate' lesson on how to treat others at the end of the thread.

Edit: oops, sorry, RemoteDSP is not for the IR. I'll see if I can find the right name. Duh, it's called TVremote Do a search and you should find links to it.

I've played with it a bit and it works.....

also, there are others even one from "griffin" I think. it has a plug in that goes into your 'headphone jack' and acts an extender for more range!
