Notes on pocketpc not all showing in outlook.

problem: i haven't had any sync issues for over a month then this morning i come to work sync up and all but two of my notes are showing in outlook. when i look on pocket pc the notes are still there.

steps taken to resolve: so i did a soft reboot on my pocket pc but that didn't fix it. then i uninstalled activesync 3.6, rebooted my pc and installed activesync 3.7 and that didn't work.

has anyone had a similar experience or know what may have caused this? between my last sync and this morning i didn't install or remove any software. actually i only used it to read my current msreader book. so i am not sure what may of happened.

I have the same problem with appointments not showing in outlook but do show on pocket pc I still havn't resolved it tho.

No other problems with active sync

Open Active Sync on the desktop computer, and click on Options. Make sure Notes is checked.

notes was checked. in the past the check box disappeared when i first got my axim. knock on wood that won't happen again. anyway i figured out a work around...

on my pocket pc i opened each file and added a space then closed it. the file was refreshed and it sync'ed with my outlook. i did loose my categories but that isn't that bad. luckly i only had about 15 notes if i had had more it would have been a pain.

does anyone know how i would do a unix 'touch *' in dos or on the pocket pc ? this would be handy if i have a lot more notes.

You mentioned "note categories" in your reply - I cannot seem to get the categories to show up on my AXIM. The only way I can view my notes is to "show all".

On PC Outlook, I have the notes categorized???

Any pointers?

for some reason the categories you assign in outlook don't show on the pocket pc. i am not sure why they don't carry over. i was tired of trying to figure this out so i came up with my own system for organizing my notes on my pocket pc.

i have set up folders for my notes on my axim like 'note personal' or 'note work'. once i create a note i open my pocket pc on my desktop and move the note file into the appropriate folder. this way they stay organized and are sorted by subject. on my pc in outlook you will see: 'notes personal\tech talk' but on my pocket pc i see the tech talk note inside the 'notes personal' folder.
