The Axim is a great gaming system! Emulators, native games, you name it... with dual expansion, good screen, good battery life, and awesome native selection to boot, you probably ordered IMHO the best gaming platform available... aside from a full computer of course. You might get unlucky and get an unbalanced D-Pad, but chances are you'll be fine in this respect, it is a tad weak in terms of tactile feedback, but other than that it seems fine to me.

I think you can get it free, but IIRC, you load up the same game files, but with a separate EXE file to run on the WinCE system, with alternative UI. Doom has been ported in much the same way, same with Sim City 2000, and a few other games like this.
Argentum is the coolest native game I've seen though, it's a real-time strategy. Of course, you'll be abel to load up traditional board games and so on as well.
