After installing the Encoder 7.1, convert any divx or mpg file using the settings “Video for email and dual-channel ISDN (128 kbps)”. You can adjust the settings to get even higher video and audio quality but use the settings I listed here as a template to start from. You can make the settings even better if you have the newer Intel PXA 255 version of the Dell. I own both units and the PXA 255 is a little faster for video.
Using the Encoder 7.1 you can convert 1 hour of video into a 40+-megabyte file. You get full screen video with nice audio and video quality. Make the audio 22 khz.

I have windows media 9 installed on my pc and I have windows media encoder 7.1..... When I got to convert a file I have a choice for wm video for wmp 7.1 and audio codecs to choose from that are only wmp 9 codecs!! Ahh!! Where are my wm7 audio codecs?!?! Is the audio going to work on my ppc?
