Newbe - Dell x5

Hello, I am new to this forum, please let me know if I am in the wrong spot.....

A friend gave me his old PDA, am Axim X5:)
It works great, but I have a few questions: what is the removal plastic slot at the top? Can the x5 be used as a GPS unit? Is there a way to have the date along with the time at the top of the display? Thank you in advance! jick

The removable plastic piece is a blank to keep stuff out of your cf slot which is an expansion port for cf memory cards or cf gps or cf wifi or cf tv or cf radio or cf camera or any device made to work in a cf slot. There is another smaller sd slot on the side that can be used for sd memory cards only on the x5.

Welcome to the site!
Be sure to install Activesync version 3.8 from Microsoft.

Here's a link to the X5 manual from Dell.
