Basic Questions on X5

Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing an X5, and I want to use it for playing video and basic PDA functions. Is this a good PDA for such purposes? I had a x50v and it was more than I needed, I would like something a little more basic and think this is the right one.

The other recquirement I have for it is it must have the ability to have a snap on keyboard.

Any thoughts would be great!
Thanks,
James

The X5 should be sufficient for your needs, but if you're looking to play video, then you should get the advanced model (400MHz). Yes, there is a snap on keyboard but I'm not sure if it has been discontinued. Make sure you do a search to confirm. Don't forget to try Ebay.

I have a x5 advanced that I use mainly for video and mp3s and it works great. Make sure you load betaplayer on it then along with wmp you can play just about anything possible for a pda. Also the x5 battery life is better than the rest of them so thats a big plus for it for video I can get 5hrs of high quality viewing on standard battery.

make sure your video is not at too high of a bitrate for the x5 if your video is encoded so that it is less than 180Mb/30 mins then it should play fine. Any video file higher than that bitrate will stutter trust me I found the limit thru trial and error to find the max bitrate that I could use for best quality. You can go as low as 50Mb/s but the quality is degraded badly by then especially when there is a lot of action and this is for an x5 400Mhz
