Just called Dell to see why my replacement hadn't arrived yet, they told me won't be here til end of next week cause it's just coming off the assembly line today. My other replacement was next day, looks like Canada is starting to get the shortage delays as well, but I think that their replacement department gets first dibs on these new Axims then the sales do.

No big deal, my problem is minor and I can still use my Axim 100%. I see it this way, I'm hoping that these new ones coming off the line will be "revised" or have some bugs worked out...maybe, we'll see :).

I will post once I get the replacement.

I have that weird shadow at the bottom of the display, like I said....minor :). I'm picky :)

Do you mean the wavy light pattern on the bottom? I think all the axims have that.

Yep, as far as I know, all of the Axims have that. It isn't even noticable until you tilt the top towards you and the bottom away.

I am having a new one sent to me. Just got off the phone with them. Hopefully it won't be backordered. They said it should be here monday or tuesday since I was calling on a weekend.

That light pattern is part of the design, as far as I know. Or call it design deficiency. It's minor in my opinion. I like to think of it as a gradient fill for the command bar.

Yeah I know, but this is my 3rd one and I did not notice this shade problem in my first one. Ah well, see what the new is like if it's the same I will keep it. Tech at Dell says it's not suppose to be shading at the bottom like that but then again, their techs don't have a good rep :)

I did not notice it at first, either, until someone told me how to hold it in order to see the pattern.
