Need to Rebuild PC

In have some strange problems with my PC (possibly the graphics card...not sure) which I want to try and solve by rebuilding from scratch and thus wiping all drivers etc and starting afresh.

My question is, if I rebuild the PC and re-install Activesync how will it react to the Outlook data and other software which is already on the Axim.

What would you recommend as the best course of action to safeguard my Axim and ensure that it syncs OK afterwards.

Thanks,

Errol

Yeah the only thing that would happen si that your active sync will ask for a new partnership and updatre you eamil as far as app install ed your Ax that work in tandem with the PC is a case by case basis. Some apps only need the pc to help install thing to the AX becuz AS is so lame others might actually hold data that the app may depend on in that case I am sure the app will no longer function get it?

Before docking, set ActiveSync on the PC to overwrite the PC from the Axim ... under Tools, Options, Rules (Always replace the item on this computer).

If I were you, I'd backup my Outlook to CD or something and then just restore it. I've formatted alot, and this is a godsend for keeping all my emails since when I first got the computer intact.

Here's how:

Open outlook, go to File>Import and Export

Click export to a file and click next

Click "Personal Folder File (.pst)" and click next

Click at the top of the tree (usually "Personal folders"), making sure "include subfolders" is checked, and click next.

Finally choose a nice safe place you'll remember as your destination folder, and clikc finish.

Then burn that to a CD and you can format away!
