I heard a poping sound when I first depressed the reset button but it doesn't do that anymore. It doesn't pop anymore. But almost everytime I grab my Axim, I tend to grab it towards the middle and end up resetting or pressing the record button. :(

Shutdown works for me too, but so does the back of the stock stylus ;)

...my two cents....

I use the shutdown app whenever possible, however, the thumb on the side seems to work very well, too.
Thanks for the suggestion.......the thought of piercing the rubber side with that pointy stylus gave me the shudders....:crooked:

yeah, the first time I did a thumb reset, I thought I broke the poor little thing, but it turns out that my Ax is tougher than I gave it credit for! It still pops sometimes, but it's getting a lot less frequent.

I always use a finger for soft reset but I never heard the so called "popping sound"

well I guess I could start using xp shutdown but thats another program in my start menu:S
