OK, is it better to charge your battery often, say every time it hits anywhere between 0-50% or should you charge your battery when it is dead. I know some batteries you have to set it's "lifespan" and some thrive on being charged, what about the Axims, which is it?

The lithium-ion battery that powers your Axim is not suseptable to the "memory" peoblems the the older Ni-cad batteries were. I would suggest you charg you Axim every night unless you are a real light user, or carry a second battery pack. The first time your battery goes dead on you will be the time you needed your Axim the most (Murphy's Law).

rephrasing question

Zimpfer,
The question did not have anything to do with the memory effect of Nicad batteries of yore. I was told that these new batteries have an average number of charge / discharge cycles after which they need replacement- The Nextel phone has a battery with about 500 cycles. I was told by the Nextel folks that each time you connect the battery to a power source, it counts as one charge cycle. Therefore, I was adviced, one should only charge the device when the battery is really low, in order to keep the number of charge cycles low... Any comments?

Cheers,

jaydee
