Screen brightness issue, maybe?

I have an X5 and each time I start it I have to increase brightness. I am wondering if there is a problem with something on my X5 or is this normal? I really would like to set it a max brightness and have it stay whenever I turn on X5. Any siuggestions of fixes? Thanks in advance, Sam

You can set different brightness levels for AC power vs. battery power. Have you tried setting them both for maximum brightness?

I have tried those setting many times and I did that again last night but today when I start the X5 I still had to bring up brightness to see screen. Is this common or is it just my unit acting crazy? Thanks, Sam

When you press the power button, pressing and holding it down will dim the backlight. However, if you just give the power button a quick press, it will turn on the backlight as usual. Have you tried that?
