Worried Think I killed my X5

I was setting my X5 up to use a Belkin Bluetooth cf card and did a hard reset rather than a soft reset. Now the only thing I get when I turn it on is the Today screen and can not access anything other than find and help.

Is there any way to recover from this or should I just buy a new PPC?

Thanks,

If it were me I would purchase a windows 2003 upgrade version on e-bay for about 3 bucks and try installing that. Careful though its rom.

Problem is it will not sync with my pc. I think it deleted all programs including activesync on the X5.

Question

Isn't a hard reset supposed to erase all data and then wouldn't you go to your pc to recover the data that was erased?

That's what I thought except not activesync can not find it, and will not let me set up a new partership to sync with.

Question

How about redownloading active sync which will then cause you to set up a new partnership and then go from there

Question

For some reason everybody recomends for the x5 that you don't download 4.2 active sync that the 3. whatever is better for the 2002 models. I have the latest and can't see a problem but everybody says use the 3. whatever.
