Active Sync disconnects during copy

I copy files every night to my Axim. They average 12MB each. Yesterday, when I was copying, it would get about 1 and a half files into copying, and then disconnect with no error messages. I stopped the Active Sync on the Axim, and power cycled, and it connected again. Started the copy, and same thing. Tried again today on a different PC, and same thing. Power settings seem OK, and the device stays on when Active Sync disconnects. Any ideas?

in my expereince, AS is buggy in copying large files. I use a card reader to SD card and go from there.

card reader.... it works so much better, and so much quicker.

Okay, thanks. I have a PCMCIA adapter to use with the other laptop. Glad it's not just me.

I think I read something about this a long time ago about the Axim having to use main memory for this and that is why there is a problem with the large files.
I use a card reader for files bigger than a couple of MB.

Ohh. Just saw the Shiner avatar. Good beers. I didn't get to tour the brewery last time I was in Tx, but 3 years ago I did. Nice!

Nothings finer than an ice cold Shiner. (or Guiness). Okay, just about any black beer will do.

On to the issue - I finally finished copying files the old way. It has stayed connected for over 30 minutes now. But, I will be using the reader to simplify and speed things up.

Shoulda thought of that earlier.
