Ok i know i keep talking about this but now for 20 buck plus shipping you can get a serial sync cable to plug into the bottom of Dell Axim. Now this is a dumb serial but i assume the axim has the serial inputs and outputs that the usb doesn't support. So my connection will be for testing is a null modem adapter and a gender changer from Radio shack which will be connected to my cellular Nextel phones port which comes out a serial female connector. Then i will use my Axim to setup and find the standard motorola modem inside the phone and set it up for dial up.
Will this work? Is there anyone from Motorola Iden out there that can help, i mean it worked with my casios serial cable but it had some kind of interface in series with cable. From what i have read serial cable connections directly talk to each other with out an interface. Usb tousb don't talk unless one is a host. Hey i hope i don't need to buy the cf interface rs232 for 150.-- bucks to do this. Also i read that a usb to usb direct connection need something called an Usb bridge what is it and where can i get one and how much?

bye,
Phil
