axim x5 300 vs 400

After much research, have decided t get an x5!!
My question is -- I plan to only use the x5 for GPS and WIFI. Is there any real difference between the 300 and 400 for my use. Thanks in advance

Depends on which processor they have. My wife's running a base 300 MHz X 5 with a PXA255 and I'm running the 400 MHz with the PXA250. The short of it, hers is almost (and sometimes more so) as fast as mine in various benchmarks and what not.

If you go with the 300 MHz version, make sure it's running the 255. Some people claim there is little to no difference between the two, but there is IMO.

Of course the 400 MHz version has more RAM to boot. So go with the 400 MHz if you can.

FYI: PXA250: 100 MHz FSB
PXA255: 200Mhz FSB, much more efficient and draws less juice.
