difference betweeen compactflash I and II

What is the main difference between compactflash I and compactflash II. I have seen cards that are 512MB I and those that are 512MB II? just wondering thanxs! and cheapest i have seen for a 512MB compactflash seems to be around 140, anyone know of a cheaper price? thanxs

They all say the same thing - it seems to only pertain to older units that can't accept type II, it doesn't mention anything about speed differences, more (or less) power drain or anything of that sort.
