Putting music on the Axim?

I have a new Dell Axim X51V, with Bluetooth and wifi. I would like to know if it is possible to download music to the Axim? If so, where do I find directions? I don't know if I need to have it on my PC first (I already have a lot of music on the computer) and then download it to the Axim. If so, how, or could someone link me to directions? Does the music have to be in a specific format first...MP3, WMA, etc. Thanks!

Not sure if you can download music directly to your Axim I download music to my PC then copy to CF or SD card & use that card in my Axim. Its a lot faster than transfering thu ActiveSync.

I used to to do this way too. Over WiFi to the Axim might be working but the risk of having corrupted file is greater than to the PC.

I have a 1 GB San Disk (is that what you mean by SD?) I don't know where I'd put that on my PC...it is a Dell, too, about ayear old. I don't know where I'd put such a small disk?? Inside the tower? I can't even get the tower case off of this thing! Lol. If it isn't possible, I won't worry about it. That's why God invented iPods, eh? :)

Some PCs have SD (Secure Digital) and CF (C0mpact Flash) drives built right in them. If it was there, you'd see it pretty easily. Assuming your Dell PC has a USB port that is easily accessible, you may need to get a USB SD card reader. That will allow you to plug your SD card into a USB slot, essentially making it another drive. Bring your card to CompUSA - you should be able to find a USB reader for it for less than $20 US.
